Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with a focus on patient comfort.
- Label, process, and package blood specimens according to laboratory standards.
- Verify patient information and ensure all safety and infection control protocols (OSHA, CLIA) are strictly followed.
- Greet patients, explain procedures clearly, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
- Maintain accurate records of collection times and patient outcomes.
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Phlebotomy Technologist (PT) certification required.
- Current Kansas state phlebotomy license.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
