Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary punctures, and microcollections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Provide exceptional patient care with compassionate communication
- Collaborate with physicians and lab staff for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid Hawaii Phlebotomy Technician license
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in LIS and EMR systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Background check and drug screening required
