Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict safety protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Verify patient identity and maintain detailed medical records
- Operate centrifuges and automated analyzers
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Maintain sterile equipment and inventory supplies
- Collaborate with lab teams to ensure timely test results
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Proficient in venipuncture and pediatric blood collection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
