Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA/HIPAA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and sample tracking systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and infection control
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with lab teams for efficient workflow
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP/NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with anxious patients
- Proficiency in LIS systems and specimen handling protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
