Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
- Prepare and label blood specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide exceptional customer service to create a positive experience.
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy station.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and physicians to facilitate timely specimen processing.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or certification in progress required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) is a plus.
