Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparations
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate specimen handling
- Maintain immaculate workspace and inventory management
- Document patient interactions and lab results electronically
Qualifications
- No prior phlebotomy experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Compassionate communication skills
- Basic computer literacy for documentation
