Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict protocols
- Label, process, and transport specimens to laboratory with precision
- Maintain sterile equipment and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Provide exceptional patient care with empathy and clear communication
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient experience
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to obtain Nevada Phlebotomy Technician certification within 90 days of hire
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with diverse patients
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in specimen handling
- Basic computer literacy for EHR documentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Willingness to complete paid on-the-job training program
- Must pass background check and drug screening
