Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Label, process, and transport specimens to laboratory for testing
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure sterile techniques and proper infection control protocols
- Provide patient education and emotional support during blood draws
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare team for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Background check and drug screen required
- Must complete company-sponsored phlebotomy training program
