Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Accurately label, process, and store blood samples for laboratory testing.
- Greet patients, explain procedures to alleviate anxiety, and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and laboratory safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Assist phlebotomists and medical staff with daily laboratory operations and inventory management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to complete a certified phlebotomy training program (we assist with training).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for occasional travel).
