Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws using standard safety protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control procedures
- Provide patient education and emotional support during procedures
- Document patient information and specimen details in EMR systems
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must be available for 8am-5pm weekday schedule
