Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process and label specimens accurately with barcoding systems
- Maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant EHR systems
- Operate centrifuges, analyzers, and other lab equipment
- Provide patient education on blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for seamless patient care
- Ensure inventory control of medical supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to stand for 6+ hours with frequent walking
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate demeanor with patient handling experience preferred
- CPR certification (will be provided if needed)
- Must complete 40-hour clinical externship
