Our hybrid model combines on-site clinical rotations with remote administrative tasks, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while serving diverse communities. All candidates must have reliable transportation for occasional in-person shifts at our Durham campus.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections across diverse patient populations
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Process and transport specimens with meticulous attention to chain of custody
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including analyzers and centrifuges
- Document patient data and lab results using our proprietary EHR system
- Conduct quality control procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient workflows
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in LIS/EHR systems with remote access capabilities
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain throughout employment)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient comfort and collaboration
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex specimen handling scenarios
