Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process and transport specimens to laboratories with proper documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Ensure sterile techniques and proper handling of biohazardous materials
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient flow and efficiency
- Train and mentor new phlebotomy technicians as needed
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Phlebotomy Technician certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance and medical documentation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling
- Pass background check and drug screening
