Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections across all patient demographics
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Verify patient identification and prepare specimens for analysis
- Document collection data using EMR systems with 100% accuracy
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Collaborate with nursing staff to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or lab setting
- Valid BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Proficiency in specimen handling and processing protocols
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced medical environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
