Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood draws and specimen collection following strict protocols
- Ensure proper patient identification and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Process and label specimens with precision and attention to detail
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume testing scenarios
- Collaborate with medical teams to ensure seamless workflow
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
