Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory following strict protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and sample documentation
- Ensure proper handling of biohazardous materials and equipment sterilization
- Provide exceptional patient care during specimen collection procedures
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless workflow
- Adhere to OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or Phlebotomy I)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen processing
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass background check and drug screening
