Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient calls based on medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients via telephone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
- Handle high-pressure situations with calm professionalism and critical thinking
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and empathy abilities
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
