Responsibilities
- Provide personalized companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social engagements
- Monitor health vitals and report changes to care coordinators
- Maintain detailed care documentation and client records
- Implement specialized care plans for clients with dementia or mobility challenges
Qualifications
- New York State Home Health Aide certification required
- Minimum 2 years professional caregiving experience
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin preferred
