Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as per care plans
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social engagements
- Companionship services including conversation, hobbies, and light exercise
- Maintain detailed care logs and communicate with family members
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and client confidentiality protocols
- Respond promptly to emergency situations following established protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional caregiving experience in home or facility settings
- New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Reliable transportation with clean driving record
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Clear background check and TB screening
- Fluency in English (Spanish or Mandarin a plus)
