Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with medication management
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation and companionship activities
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in client condition to care coordinator
- Light housekeeping tasks and transportation to appointments
- Maintain accurate care documentation and client records
- Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience required
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and compassion for elderly clients
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
