Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with administration where required.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to combat loneliness.
- Household Support: Prepare nutritious meals, assist with light housekeeping, and ensure a safe, clean living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social outings.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certifications: Current CNA or HHA certification is highly preferred; on-the-job training provided for qualified candidates.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record are mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with transfers.
- Attributes: Empathy, patience, reliability, and a positive attitude.
