Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-enhanced machine learning algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical neural architectures achieving exponential speedups
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors optimized for AI workloads
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at premier conferences
- Mentor cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, ML engineers, and domain experts
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants for quantum-AI initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Computational Physics
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in top-tier ML/quantum journals (NeurIPS, QIP, etc.)
- Expertise in variational quantum algorithms and quantum neural networks
- Strong Python/C++ proficiency with HPC optimization skills
- Deep understanding of tensor networks and quantum entanglement principles
