Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and cryptography
- Lead a cross-functional team of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant security frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics or IEEE journals
- Secure $5M+ in DoE and NSF grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record leading technical teams in high-stakes environments
- Clearance for NASA-level security protocols preferred
