Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization applications
- Mentor a cross-functional team of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Collaborate with MIT and CERN researchers on quantum networking protocols
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum entanglement or superconducting qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 100 qubit stability
- Proven ability to secure government research funding
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and quantum error correction
