Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to develop error correction protocols
- Lead research projects with publication targets in top-tier scientific journals
- Develop quantum software prototypes for industry partners in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Mentor junior researchers and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
