Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industrial deployment
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and validate quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals/conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Participate in DARPA and NSF quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE Quantum journals
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, decoherence, and topological qubits
- Expertise in Python/C++ with optimization libraries (NumPy, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Experience with quantum hardware simulators and cloud quantum platforms
- Strong background in machine learning and statistical physics
