Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Develop error-correction methodologies for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Secure $5M+ in federal and private research grants for 2026 initiatives
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion-trap systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm and quantum error correction protocols
- Clearance for DOE/NIST quantum security initiatives (or ability to obtain)
