Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques and fault-tolerant quantum computing frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate theoretical advances into commercial solutions
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex interdisciplinary research projects
