Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead research publications in Nature Physics/Quantum journals
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and World Economic Forum summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing libraries
- Understanding of topological quantum computing models
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms (IBM Rigetti, Google Sycamore)
- Track record of securing government research funding
