Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development
- Secure research funding through NSF, DARPA, and industry partnerships
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience with frameworks like Qiskit or Cirq
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Expertise in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to work with complex mathematical models and simulations
