Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams on quantum machine learning projects
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times
- Secure $2M+ in government/private quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency with quantum circuit simulation tools (Qiskit Aer, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience securing DoE or NSF grants
- Fluency in Python and C++ for quantum-classical hybrid systems
