Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond 2026 industry standards
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal grants and private partnerships for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum hardware (superconducting, ion trap, or photonic)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in machine learning and classical algorithm optimization
- Proven ability to secure research funding from NSF, DOE, or DARPA
- Experience leading quantum computing projects with industry partners
