Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum error correction protocols
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks using Python and Qiskit
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence times
- Secure government and private funding for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or gate-based systems
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency in Cirq, Qiskit, and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Track record of securing research grants ($500k+)
- Clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
