Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms with practical applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Design and simulate fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using Qiskit and Cirq
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure competitive research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Present findings at international quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum)
- Collaborate with industry partners to implement quantum-resistant security protocols
- Establish quantum computing benchmarks for the 2026 technological roadmap
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, or similar)
- Published research in top quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Experience securing government or corporate research funding
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex projects
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for security clearance
