Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and monitor patient health status, documenting changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard within the healthcare system.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations using appropriate nursing interventions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS preferred depending on unit.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New graduates with excellent academic records may be considered).
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Interpersonal: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and build rapport with diverse patient populations.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
