Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care assessment, planning, and intervention in accordance with clinical protocols
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care strategies
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety standards in all clinical procedures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and departmental reviews
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the District of Columbia or compact state
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN candidates with experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of acute care or specialty nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, ONCC) preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems with strong documentation skills
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated cultural competency
