Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in emergency, critical care, and medical-surgical units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
- Educate patients/families on health conditions and discharge procedures
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training
Qualifications
- Active DC RN license (or compact license with DC endorsement)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
- Strong proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends
- DC residency preferred (not required)
