Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced 24-bed cardiac telemetry unit
- Administer medications and perform complex wound care with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code blue procedures
- Provide patient education on disease management and discharge planning
- Mentor new nurses through our structured preceptorship program
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (or compact license with quick endorsement)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred for leadership track)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in telemetry/ICU setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Valid BLS certification with ability to obtain ACLS within 90 days
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (preferred)
