Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions
- Document clinical information accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge plans
- Collaborate with physicians and care team members to develop treatment strategies
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR preferred
