Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care using evidence-based practices and clinical judgment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and documentation accuracy
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred for specialty roles)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (ICU/ER highly valued)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications maintained
- Proficiency in Epic EHR documentation system
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and cultural competency abilities
