Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with evidence-based practices and hospital protocols
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document clinical observations accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care instructions
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards during procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety audits
- Lead shift handovers ensuring continuity of care information
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred for leadership roles)
- 2+ years of acute care experience (ICU/ER preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS/NRP a plus)
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC experience preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
