Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in critical care settings including assessment, medication administration, and treatment plans
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic imaging
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education on treatment protocols and disease management
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety audits
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (BRN) and BLS certification
- ACLS certification required (or obtained within 90 days)
- Minimum 2 years critical care experience in acute care setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
