As a Registered Nurse at CareConnect, you will serve as a vital advocate for our patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of medical attention while feeling supported and respected.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols, strictly adhering to safety standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes and escalating concerns immediately to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions to promote recovery and health literacy.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, medications administered, and clinical outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient management.
- Respond promptly to code blues and emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and leadership under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of New Mexico.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
