Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units with a focus on critical assessment and intervention
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment, adjusting care as needed
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- BSN degree required, MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
