Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough physical assessments and monitor patient health status to identify immediate needs and determine appropriate care plans.
- Medication Management: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and hospital regulations.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and nursing staff to ensure cohesive and effective patient care strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with legal and accreditation standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, assist in stabilizing patient conditions, and coordinate care during critical situations.
- Infection Control: Enforce strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Maryland.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotation experience will be considered.
- Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
