Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and symptoms, to identify changes that require immediate medical intervention.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly adhering to safety protocols and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
