Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond immediately to changes in clinical status.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (EHR).
