Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiac critical care to post-operative patients and those with acute cardiac conditions
- Administer precise medications and monitor life support systems (ventilators, IABP)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document clinical observations using Epic EHR systems with 100% accuracy
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management and discharge protocols
- Maintain sterile procedures during invasive cardiac interventions
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ICU or cardiac experience preferred
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Advanced ECG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring skills
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Experience with cardiac cath lab or post-op open-heart care a plus
