Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critical cardiac patients using advanced monitoring equipment
- Administer medications and treatments with precise attention to dosing protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform emergency interventions including defibrillation and advanced cardiac life support
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health conditions and post-procedure care
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
