Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKG data for 24 patients
- Administer medications and perform patient assessments per unit protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Provide patient/family education on cardiac conditions and procedures
- Document care accurately in Epic EMR system
- Respond to rapid response codes and emergency situations
- Maintain strict compliance with Joint Commission standards
Qualifications
- Active NC RN license required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with 5+ years experience)
- ACLS/BLS certifications mandatory
- Minimum 2 years telemetry or cardiac step-down experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
